Judy Dietz, on the right, is the curator of Centuries of Silence: the Discovery of the Salzinnes Antiphonal, a large exhibit that ran for nine months at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada. The exhibit is the culmination of two decades of study that Judy has devoted to this incredible music manuscript, working collaboratively with international scholars, archivists, conservators, and singers—including Hendrik Vanden Abeele and the Psallentes ensemble. She is pictured here with Robert Summerby-Murray, president of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, right after the university—the current owner of the Salzinnes Antiphonal—presented her with an honorary doctorate for her tremendous work on the manuscript.

Psallentes wishes to congratulate Judith (better known as Judy) on being presented with this honorary doctorate. We thank you, Judy, and we admire you!
Thank you, Hendrik and thank you, Jennifer. As the ‘voice’ of the Salzinnes Antiphonal, bringing it out of its ‘Centuries of Silence’, your marvelous cd of the “Salzinnes Saints”, speaks for itself!
I share this honor with you and Psallentes! Judy
