‘Child’ is just another word for ‘Future’

Belgium has lived through a terrible tragedy this week, with 22 children (of which seven from The Netherlands and one from Germany) dying in a coach crash in a Swiss tunnel. Six adults died in the horrible crash as well, and 24 other children were wounded. Our hearts go out to the dead and the injured, and to their relatives and friends. It makes us want to do more for the future of children. That’s why we want to help spread the word about Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony, who leads the so-called Lord’s Resistance Army. Quoting the Guardian: “Kony and his LRA are distinguished by their violence and brutality, weird ideology and their practice of abducting children and turning them into child soldiers”.
